Last week, the tech giant Google revealed that it would be dropping the naming scheme it has been using for Android in the past few years, coming out of dessert names to a simple number version. Which means that the next major version of Android will be Android 10, and now, it seems like we have a potential release date for it.

Android 10 launch date

According to a report by PhoneArena, which inquired Google about the upcoming release through customer support, the update will begin rolling out on September 3, which would be Tuesday of next week. This information was given by at least two different members of Google’s support team, which lends some credibility to the report. Nokia is the only company so far to reveal the timeline for its own rollout of Android 10. And the rest of the devices will receive updates throughout the next few months.
