The new online learning platform will comprise Google Classroom. It will provide access to Google Workspace for Education as well as enable teachers to use Google Meet, thus propagating convenient learning. Here, close to 100 participants will be able to come together and take advantage of Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals for free. Google’s Head of Education – South Asia, Bani Dhawan said, “With the rapid move to online learning and teaching, educators today are increasingly looking for more meaningful ways to bring their lessons to life, and we hope this offering makes online classes that much more engaging and fulfilling”. The new portal aims to empower teachers and offers a comprehensive solution for students, including messaging, test conduction, daily classes, and pedagogical content from the Edtech company. Will the new online learning platform be made available for schools?
All schools across the country will be able to gain access to the platform by signing up on the Vidyartha portal. Registered schools would be ascribed official email IDs for faculty members, students, and even the admin staff. The platform is designed to offer end-to-end Classroom management and will prove beneficial in organising and tracking virtual classroom learning, especially during the pandemic. The digital content will only be available in English and no other languages as of now. Google Byju’s deal is focused on providing direct access to Byju’s math and science pedagogy and visually-rich learning solutions.
