Kaushal further added that lane changing by heavy vehicles contributes to a number of accidents. He stressed on the need for better lighting, sign board placements and beautification on highways. Currently, the state has approved a ₹ 36 crore budget for maintaining and improving road infrastructure. The local bodies have be entrusted with the tasks of budget planning and management of resources for the relevant purpose.
