How to Block Cellular Data Usage on the iPhone 7 by the Twitter App
The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 7 Plus, in iOS 10.3.1. once you complete these steps, the Twitter app will only be able to connect to the Internet and download data when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network. Note that you will also be unable to send any tweets after enabling this setting. Step 1: Open the Settings app.
Step 2: Select the Cellular option.
Step 3: Scroll down and tap the button to the right of Twitter to turn it off. There will be no green shading around the Twitter button when you have disabled cellular data usage. I have disabled cellular data usage by Twitter in the image below.
Note that following these steps is a good idea if you are doing this for your own phone, but you might need to go a step further if you are making this change for someone else, like a child. Disabling app cellular data usage like this can easily be undone by following these steps again and turning the setting back on.
