How to take a screenshot on Mac with Windows keyboard?

It is possible to take screenshots on a Mac laptop or computer using a regular or Windows keyboard. Just press Windows+Shift+3 simultaneously to capture a screenshot. The screen capture would be saved as a .PNG file on the desktop of your laptop or computer. If you want, right-click on the saved screenshot file and rename it as per your choice. When you take a screenshot, it automatically gets saved on your computer under “This PC>Pictures>Screenshots”. How to take a screenshot on Mac with a keyboard shortcut?

Using Mac keyboard

If you have a Mac keyboard or keypad you can take screenshots of the entire Mac screen just by pressing Shift+Command+3 simultaneously. A screenshot preview will instantly appear at the bottom-right corner which you can click to make changes to the screenshots if required. You may wait for the preview to disappear and for the screenshot to be saved to the Desktop as a PNG file. If you want to take a screenshot of a selected area on your screen, you need to press the Shift+Command+4 keys simultaneously. By doing this the cursor would turn into a crosshair. Click and drag to choose the area and let go of the mouse to capture the image. If you happen to change your mind after dragging the selection, press the Esc key to reset and start over. If you want to take a screenshot of an app window, press the Shift+Command+4 keys together and then hit the Space bar. The cursor would become a camera icon from a crosshair. Move the cursor over different windows to highlight them and then click to take the screenshot.
