The much-awaited JioPhone Next, an ultra-affordable smartphone (Cheapest 4G smartphone) co-developed by Reliance Jio and Google, which was to be launched today, will now be launched around Diwali. The delay in the announcement of Jio Next Phone Price and delivery plans appears to be linked to the Global Semiconductor shortage, as Jio mentioned in its announcement that “this additional time will be applicable to existing industry-wide, It will also help in bridging the global semiconductor shortage.”

Although the company did not announce a specific price for the JioPhone Next, a leak suggested that it could be priced at Rs 3,499 or $50.

It added that the phone is currently being tested with limited users, and will be widely rolled out by Diwali. As the images shared, we can see that it has thick bezels, and there is one camera each on the front and back of the phone. Previous leaks suggest that the JioPhone Next may run Android 11 (Go Edition) and feature a 5.5-inch display. The same leak also suggests a Qualcomm QM215 SoC, and a 2,500mAh battery, dual-SIM support, and 2GB or 3GB RAM options, as well as 16GB or 32GB storage options. However, these details have not been officially confirmed yet.
