This smartphone brand from Lenovo aims to compete with and bring down the sale of Xiaomi in China. Xiaomi also follows an online-only low-cost smartphone business model. Zuk was supposed to launch its first product in April in China. However, due to unavoidable circumstances it could only launch its first device last week. Zuk Z1 comes with no branding from Lenovo but only a Zuk logo at the back. This phone has metal frames covering the handset. Lenovo is yet to discuss its plans to launch Zuk outside of China. However, it is expected to launch Zuk in other countries as well. The Zuk Z1 comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD display and has a home button on the front panel. A fingerprint scanner is embedded with the home button itself. This smartphone features 3.0 USB Type-C port. The flagship phone from Zuk runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor at 2.5 GHz clock speed. Other features include Adreno 330 GPU, 3 GB RAM, 64 GB inbuilt storage space and dual Nano-SIM cards. The OS of Z1 is none other than Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. This smartphone has a 8-MP front camera and 13 MP rear camera with OIS and Sony sensor. Z1 would be available in grey and white colors with 4100 mAh battering weighing 175 grams. This smartphone model supports both 4G LTE bands (TDD-LTE Band 40 2300MHz and FDD-LTE Band 3 1800MHz) and other connectivity options include Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac. Bluetooth 4.1 and Glonass. Features like digital compass, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope and proximity sensor are also included in this phone.
