The company will train 2,50,000 creators and 1 crore small entrepreneurs over the next 3 years. Meta will fulfil its goal through its Centre for Fuelling India’s New Economy (C-FINE). C-FINE is quartered in Meta’s one of the largest offices in Asia. The new Meta office was inaugurated by Minister of State for IT and electronics- Rajeev Chandrashekar. Inaugurating the office, he said: “It is clear that technology is deeply and reversibly changing the trajectory of our country. In 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi set up very simple and clear goals on how technology will be deployed in this country. He said it must transform the lives of every Indian, it must expand opportunities and the digital economy of the country.” He added that the big Internet companies have tremendous ability to influence the trajectory in good or bad ways for entrepreneurship, for citizens, and societies at large.
All about the Centre
The Centre will be the house for 2.5 lakhs creators and 1 crore small entrepreneurs.The Centre will showcase the influence of the latest technologies on the digital ecosystem of the country.The centre will also have an area to demonstrate the way how AR and VR play a transformative role in sectors.The sectors will be commerce and healthcare, learning and education.
Meta’s Vice President and Managing Director Ajit Mohan Said: “We see this office as an opportunity for us to build a space that does not just house our largest team in the county but will also be a space that deeply engages with the world outside.” He also said that the office is open to anyone who wish to drive change. Be it creators, small business owners, small entrepreneurs, community leaders or artists. The C-FINE is going to bring all Meta’s products together. Its main mission will be to use the technology and the tools that are being built by the company for the growth of creators and everyone else.
