The Pokemon community worldwide is in a state of despair. Nintendo has refused to reveal the exact details about the return of Pokemon apps, Pokebank and Poke Transport to gaming systems. The company had previously announced free 30-day trial for these apps which began on Christmas day, December 25, 2013. However, they were not prepared for the huge amount of traffic this generated. This led to a huge strain on the servers, following which the apps were pulled offline. The overload even affected the Wii U and 3DS, which were connected through the network. Although the company issued a message on their website apologizing for the delay and announced that players were ‘having trouble setting up Nintendo Network IDs’ and ‘downloading content’, they didn’t specify any exact details regarding the return of these apps. Now, gamers all over the world are curious and slowly their wait is turning into despair with no further announcements from Nintendo in this regard. The net is abuzz with a lot of fake dates but there has been no official date announced by Nintendo. Fans have flooded social media websites searching for a clue and are even posting on Nintendo’s twitter account looking for the coveted answer. The apps are quite beneficiary since they allow players to transfer Pokemon from older versions of the games to the latest title. Many fans who have tried their share of Pokemon X and Y are anticipating the arrival of Pokemon Z and believe it would be apt that the company now holds the apps for a simultaneous release with Z. However, millions of fans are still awaiting the release of these apps and it is apt that Nintendo issues an official statement or releases the apps at the earliest. Keeping the fingers crossed!
