Benefits of this feature?
Since this feature would filter chat messages by date, no one would have to try and remember keywords from the conversation. It would be enough to remember the tentative date and accordingly start searching using the filter option. Needless to say, this feature will greatly help people to find crucial conversations or recall important chats within a group or between two people. Which OS can enjoy this feature?
WhatsApp is aiming to roll out this feature for iPhone users at first. Later the update will be available for Android smartphone users as well.
What is next for iPhone users?
WhatsApp will cease to function on some Apple devices from 24th October 2022. To be precise the meta-owned app would not support iOS 10 and iOS 11. Hence, iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C would not be eligible for WhatsApp updates anymore. However, it is unlikely that anybody would still be using those models from the past. According to WABetaInfo the feature was in the making for two years but stopped later. However, “After releasing the WhatsApp Beta for iOS 22.0.19.73 from the Testflight, we found that WhatsApp is finally planning to release the feature again in the future,” WABetaInfo reported.
