With the new update, WhatsApp users can now transfer their chats, profile pictures, account information, settings, and media from an Android phone to an iPhone. However, this option will only be available in WhatsApp’s beta version and will slowly and gradually be rolled out to all the other users as well. Back in 2021, WhatsApp and Google announced that users will soon be able to transfer their chats and data from iOS to Android. As of now, this facility is only available for some limited Google and Samsung mobile phones. Fonder and CEO, meta, Mark Zuckerberg says that this facility is being provided so that users can securely switch phones and transfer their chat history, and media while maintaining end-to-end encryption. He also added that this is the “top requested feature” by the users.
