The new Windows version is being temporarily called Windows 9. Codenamed Threshold, it potentially refers to branching out from being dependent on desktop to explore a new arena where the Start Screen remains the key aspect of using Windows. A statement made by an associate at Microsoft indicated that their engineers are involved with PhoneTest Services team of Windows and are trying the new OS currently for Qualcomm, HTC as well as Nokia devices. The test engineer’s LinkenIn profile states that she is working as a test engineer in Microsoft Corporation’s mobile team. One can easily arrive at the conclusion that it is not Windows Blue but Windows Phone 9 which will be launched as the successor for Windows Phone 8 OS.
